Tech senior pitcher John Anderson will miss the 2011 baseball season due to a 2009 shoulder injury.

Following off-season shoulder surgery following the 2009 season, Anderson took a medical redshirt last season to rehabilitate his shoulder.

After a full season of rehabilitation in 2009, Anderson was never fully able to recover following the injury to his throwing shoulder.

Anderson has made 11 starts in his career at Tech and enjoyed his most successful season in 2009, when he led the Bulldogs pitching staff with seven wins and two saves.

He has appeared in 36 games in just two seasons for Tech since joining the Bulldogs rotation.

Anderson is a senior from Shreveport and joined the Bulldogs from Bossier Parish Community College in 2008.

He is a two-time letterman at Tech and earned his undergraduate degree in marketing this past May.
